How long have you been in the industry for?
I have been in the travel industry since 1990. Back in the days when you could still write tickets by hand.
What made you change to become a home-based consultant?
I became a home based agent because I wanted to be able to provide the standard of service and products to my clients that was not available by working for another agent. Additionally I wanted to have a little bit more work leisure balance and after investigating several home based options decided that the Your Travel & Cruise product suited what I wanted to do best. I also don’t feel like I am being micro-managed.
Explain one situation that you have gone out of your way to help people through Covid?
I have found that by being a calming empathic voice on the phone helps people a great deal.
How has Covid Changed you?
It has made me more adaptable and open to new ideas as to where to direct my business.
What was the last destination you travelled to?
Internationally – New Zealand and Domestically – Sydney
Where is the next destination you plan on travelling to?
If I can travel next year, I am thinking Belfast, Amsterdam, Belfast, London
